Jean Tomlin OBE was responsible for the largest peacetime workforce in British history. She was selected as the Director of HR, Workforce and Accreditation and presided over the 200,000 employees of the 2012 Games, including the 70,000 Game Makers. This was the pinnacle of her career and makes for a fascinating tale of leadership and teamwork in her role as a motivational speaker.
Prior to this incredible achievement, Jean worked acted as the Group HR Director for Marks & Spencer’s and the Sales and Operations Director of Prudential Direct. She draws on these experiences in consultancy to create fascinating and motivational speeches designed to demonstrate how effective and efficient management can bring huge success to businesses.
Jean’s knowledge and advice spans every aspect of HR and personnel management. As such, she has been a business speaker for companies such as the BBC and Sainsbury’s. Not only are audiences left in awe of Jean’s remarkable achievements in overcoming adversity, but she also proves that small changes within a business can have a significant impact.
She was awarded an OBE for her services to education for her role as a member of the National Curriculum Advisory Board. This added a further string to her bow when she designed and implemented an organisational system.
