John Fashanu – universally known as Fash – is well-known throughout the UK as a talented footballer, a lively TV presenter and a highly popular motivational speaker.

With a footballing career stretching from 1978 to 1995, Fash is most famous for his time at Wimbledon football club where he scored 107 goals in 276 appearances. He was also in the team that won the FA Cup in 1988 but more importantly he played a major part in the non-league Wimbledon being promoted to the Football League in 1979 and 1981 then becoming fourth division champions in 1983, winning third division promotion the following year and then second division promotion in 1986.

In his entire footballing career, the motivational speaker John Fashanu scored 149 goals in 394 appearances, playing for such teams as Norwich City, Lincoln City, Crystal Palace, Millwall, Aston Villa and his national team England.

After retiring from football due to an injury, Fash forged a successful TV career as a co-presenter of the leading Gladiators show in the 1990s. He then went on to become an in-demand motivational speaker because of his incredibly infectious smile, his high level of intelligence, his superb delivery and his witty way of sharing anecdotes and fascinating stories from his time in football and broadcasting.
