Jas Hawker

Accomplished Red Arrows Pilot

Jas Hawker

Jas Hawker is a British motivational speaker and former Royal Air Force pilot known for being the youngest ever pilot to fly the Tornado ground attack aircraft on the front-line and for leading the Red Arrows.

Jas joined the Royal Air Force aged 18 and went on serve on four operational squadrons taking part in both training and operational deployments all over the world.

In 2007 he was selected to be Commanding Officer and leader of the world famous Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows. In this role, Jas was responsible for all aspects of Red Arrows’ operations including risk and safety management.

He led the Red Arrows on overseas tours to the USA, Middle and Far East and has performed over 500 public displays.

The inspirational Jas has also undertaken a number of non-flying appointments within the Ministry of Defence; advising senior military officers and civil servants on strategic policy and planning issues.

Jas has personal experience of world-class high performance teams, of executing cross-functional projects in large complex organisations, and of balancing the tension between risk, safety, and performance outcomes.

Using unique cockpit footage, he is able to draw clear parallels with the commercial world and offer tangible and practical insights into execution, risk management, high performance and the importance of continual improvement.
