Sharon White is the Chairman of John Lewis Partnership and the first ever female to hold this position. A dynamite of a leader, Sharon has had the experience of working with organisations such as Ofcom, World Bank, the British Embassy and the Department of International Development. She is now available to speak at corporate events about overcoming race and gender barriers, culture in a workplace, and how businesses can master being diverse and inclusive.
Recipient of the great title of Dame in the Honours List in 2020, Sharon has had the experience of working in private and public sectors. Having studied economics from the University of Cambridge, she worked as a Chief Executive at Ofcom for a period of four years before she moved on to being Chairman at John Lewis Partnership. She has since then worked as Director General at the Department of International Development and at the policy unit at 10 Downing Street. She also served as the Second Permanent Secretary at HM Treasury for over a year and was the first ever black person to do so. Declared the Most Powerful Black British in 2019 by Powerlist, she has made strides in her career.
Sharon has experience that all her audiences could stand to learn from. No matter what challenges she was met with as a result of her race and gender, she has withstood them successfully. She is sure to engage and inspire her audience with her own personal story and would make an excellent choice to speak at your event. Book Sharon White today!
