Medina Jett is the President of TDS Builders, an Atlanta-based real estate development company that aims to build high quality residential spaces that cater to every kind of home buyer. Referring to herself as a ‘career chameleon’, Medina quips that she has transformed herself at least four times in her 30+ years long career, always inclined to follow her passions. Best known for her role as Founder and CEO of the Integrated Compliance Solutions Group (ICSGroup), she offered legal and compliance services to Wall Street firms in the US and Africa. The only African American woman to own an asset management compliance firm, her company ICSGroup is one of the few minority-owned businesses to be featured in the Harvard Business Review. A leading voice on the empowerment of African Americans, she is also the Co-chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion task force in her capacity as Board Member at Hopkins School.
With a BA in American Politics/Government from Wesleyan University, MBA in Finance at University of Connecticut School of Business, and a JD from Georgetown Law School, Medina very quickly rose the ranks in the corporate world. Part of C-Suite as VP and Chief Compliance Officer at Prudential Financial, CIGNA and The Hartford. She has also been Counsel and Head of Claim Operations at Aetna, General Counsel and Head of Government Affairs at American Medal and Life Insurance Co.
Former President of the Board of Trustees at The Amistad Center for Art and Culture, Medina has accumulated a number of awards throughout her career. She was given the Anti-Defamation League’s Torch of Liberty, Urban League of Southern Connecticut’s Diversity Award and Tri-State Diversity Council’s Influential Women Award.
