Tijana Tamburic is a distinguished figure in the creative industry and serves as the Co-Founder of Female Narratives since 2017 and Co-Founder of Modesty Comics since 2013. Having been a model for 10 years of her career, Tijana’s resume is diverse. Included in the Forbes 30 Under 30 List in 2019, Tijana runs an all-female creative agency that has created campaigns for other female-led organisations like Bumble, Church’s, W Hotels, Squarespace, Allbirds, and The North Face amongst others. Female Narratives employs the creative abilities of 100 freelance artists, directors, poets, authors and photographers and connects brands with them directly. A natural storyteller, in her TEDx Talk “When My Masculine Met My Feminine” Tijana discusses how the boundaries surrounding masculinity and femininity must be redefined, encouraging people that both masculinity and femininity can be incorporated in their lives.
After graduating with a degree in History from UCL, Tijana worked as a Games Maker at the International Olympic Committee, Cornerstone Publicity Intern at Random House, Home Affairs Assisting Correspondent at The Telegraph, Head of Flash Quotes at the Waterpolo Arena, Head of Flash Quotes and Press Officer at Ligue Europeenne De Natation. In 2013 Tijana co-founded Modesty Comics – a publishing company that celebrates artists and writers from Ex-Yugoslavia. She was also simultaneously modeling for nearly nine years, before she was suddenly dropped by her agency for not being “thin enough”. This inspired her to do work to spend the rest of her career empowering women.
Asked to be on the panel of Judges for Forbes 30 Under 30 List in 2020, Tijana is also the Podcast Host of The Vulnerability Challenge, where she sets monthly challenges for herself that are designed to test her vulnerability.
