Tim Campbell specialises in start-up businesses, having found his fame after winning the first series of The Apprentice. Hired by Lord Alan Sugar on the 2005 series of The Apprentice, Tim has since forged his success as the founder of the Bright Ideas Trust. Having worked a successful career across the sectors of recruitment, social enterprise, transport and the Government, Tim is now a popular choice as a keynote and after dinner speaker or conference facilitator for corporate events.
Currently, Tim is working as a Trading Futures Lead and Regional Head for OSTC Ltd, also sharing his time with work as a Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Advisor for AMS. In his role at OSTC, Tim works in the recruitment of diverse traders who are interested in partnering in capital markets with companies in the continent of Africa. Before such roles, Tim was Head of Global Citizenships for AMS and the Greater London Authority Mayor’s Ambassador for Training & Enterprise. In 2007 he founded Bright Ideas Trust- a social investment fund that supported 16 to 30 years olds who were embarking on creating their first businesses.
Other prominent roles of Tim’s have included being a Project Manager for Transport for London, working in acquisitions and investments for Estate Office Property Consultants and a Governor and Board Chair for St Bonaventure’s School. He has also worked as part of Lord Alan Sugar’s business Amstrad, appointed as Project Director of Amstrad for their new health and beauty division. Having worked a diverse career, Tim has become experienced in everything from business planning and team building to FinTech, social media and event management. A highly educated individual, Tim is also equipped with knowledge from the likes of the London Business School, the University of Oxford and Said Business School. Most recently, in 2022, Tim was selected to join Karren Brady as Lord Alan Sugar's Aide on The Apprentice.
