With over two decades of experience, Rakhi Kumar is widely regarded as an authoritative figure in the world of economic, social and corporate governance (ESG). Throughout her career, Rakhi has developed her expertise in corporate governance, climate change, governance regulations, sustainable strategies, asset stewardship and more. Currently, Rakhi is the Senior Vice President of Sustainability Solutions at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Throughout her career, Rakhi has made significant contributions to corporate governance and formerly worked as the Senior Managing Director at State Street Global Advisors and an Assistant Director of Ernst & Young. After achieving a B.Com in Business, Economics and Accounting, a CA in Accounting and an MBA in Strategy and Finance, Rakhi began her career as a Research Assistant at the Yale International Institute for Corporate Governance. During her studies, she had roles as a summer associate at Booz Allen and a consultant for Mahajan & Aibara. As her expertise in corporate governance and policy increased, Rakhi worked in roles such as an Associate Analyst for Moody’s Investor Service, a Policy Advisor for the Institute of International Finance and a Senior Research Analyst for Proxy Governance Inc.
Throughout her career, Rakhi has made headlines with her expertise and claimed countless awards. In 2016 through 2020, Rakhi was named as a Governance Leader by the National Association of Corporate Directors and she has also been recognised in the Top 10 to Watch in 2018 by Wealth Management Magazine. Rakhi has also been awarded the Abigail Adams Award- awarded for commitment to equal political, economic and social rights for women, the Millstein Rising Star of Corporate Governance Award and been recognised on the Power50: The Newsmakers.
