Tim Reid is best known as the co-writer and co-creator of the BAFTA-winning BBC One sitcom Peter Kay’s Car Share. A creative genius who has amassed over 25 years of experience at renowned institutions, Tim now shares his expertise with audiences and teams, helping them develop the skills and techniques to think more creatively and constantly produce innovative work. Educated at The Manchester Metropolitan University, Tim obtained a degree in Business and Finance before earning a Post Grad Diploma in Marketing Management from Staffordshire University. After completing his studies, he began his career as a Media Planner at J. Walter Thompson, followed by Account Manager at Poulters. His next role was Planner and Copywriter at McCann-Erickson Communications House before joining ?What If! as a Lead Inventor.
In 2012, Tim became Head of Audiences at the BBC and founded SparksFire. He went on to become a Consultant at UK Sport before co-founding We Do Things Differently, a pioneering cultural change practice. He returned to the BBC as a Freelance Planner, a role he currently holds alongside being a Mentor for Creative England, and a Writer and Creativity Consultant at One Raspberry Productions Limited. Receiving several accolades for Peter Kay’s Car Share, Tim won Best TV Entertainment Programme at the Television and Radio Industries Club Award and Most Popular Comedy Series at the National Television Awards.
Building further on his TV accomplishments, his latest show, Meet The Richardsons, received critical acclaim, winning Best Comedy at the Broadcast Digital Awards for two consecutive years.
