Marlene has a BA in Liberal Arts & Sciences from the Leiden University College after which she received her MA in Digital Media, Technology and Cultural Form from Goldsmith University of London. Her career took off when she joined Project Space Festival Berlin as a Communications Assistant. Marlene also worked as a freelance Content Marketer and Journalist. She was then a Marketing Assistant at Finleap where she earned a name for herself as a superior journalist, marketer and writer. Her penchant for blockchain and cryptocurrencies made her move to Neufound as a Blockchain Reporter a smart one. Here she presented blockchain related news and completed UX writing.
2019 saw Marlene reach new heights as a PR & Events Senior Executive for Streamr Network. Her efforts to increase exposure for the Streamr project, amongst other things, led to her being promoted to Head of Communications for Streamr Network. Marlene’s expertise was adopting public relation strategies and targeting crypto media. In 2022, Marlene co-founded Data Union DAO, where she pursues her mission to make users in charge of their data. Marlene has also been featured in WIRED Germany and Coindesk for her expertise.
Marlene’s work is recognised internationally, with people from Berlin, London, Bali and The Hague being beneficiaries to her expertise.
