The youngster from Nottingham made a name for himself on his international debut at the 2011 IPC European Championships winning the 200m individual medley in a new European record time. He also finished second in the 400m freestyle.
His successes in Germany set him on course for further triumph in his first Olympics came at the London 2012 Paralympics where he won gold in the SM8 200m individual medley. Hynd has continued his success at the 2013 IPC World Championships held in Canada where he came home with two golds and a bronze. In major tournaments since then, Ollie has won medals at World, Commonwealth, European and Olympic events including 2 gold medals at the Rio 2016 Paralympics. His total Olympic haul to date 3 gold medals, 1 silver and 1 bronze. With a total of 22 medals at major championships including 14 golds, Ollie is one of the World's greatest Paralympic swimmers and a truly inspirational athlete.
