With her horse the Dutch Warmblood gelding Valegro, Charlotte has won 11 gold medals, two silvers and a bronze. The biggest golds of her career came at the London 2012 Olympic Games in the team dressage and individual dressage.
The following year she won two golds at the European Dressage Championships in the special dressage and freestyle dressage, adding to her championship gold in the team dressage in 2011. Three more European Dressage Championships medals came in 2015 – gold for special dressage and freestyle dressage and silver for team dressage.
Charlotte’s medals haul for this tournament is completed with a bronze in the team dressage which she picked up in 2013, the same year that she was awarded her OBE.
Charlotte's record at the World Equestrian Games is equally as impressive – breaking games records while winning two gold medals in 2014 in the special and freestyle dressage and a silver in the same year in the team dressage. Charlotte also won the Dressage World Cup in 2014 and repeated the feat the following year.
On another horse – this time Barolo – she became British Dressage Champion in 2015 and in the same year on yet another horse – this time Florentina – she won the 2015 Shearwater Potential International Dressage Horse Championship.
