One of the most successful female artistic gymnasts in British history, Ellie Downie, represented her country at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics and at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Starting off her career at a young age, Ellie Downie became the first female gymnast to win an individual all-around medal for England at the age of 15. Known for being strong on all apparatus, Ellie went on to cement her place as one of the finest gymnasts in the world at the European Championships.
It was during 2015 when Ellie was selected to be part of the Great British women’s team. Having made history with her talents at the European Championships, Ellie would now move onto an international stage to perform at the Olympics, however, came away without a medal.
More recently, in 2019, she won the British all-around title for a second time, before winning all-around silver at the European Championships in Poland. In 2024, Ellie was honoured with the appointment of MBE for Services to Gymnasts & the Sport of Gymnastics.
A hugely talented young athlete, with an abundance of experience in the competitive sports industry, Ellie would be a perfect addition to any event, being able to share her insights and experiences from throughout her sporting career.
