Ollie Thorn is a transformational keynote speaker, former British Army Officer, para-athlete, and global inclusion leader whose life story is as powerful as the lessons he shares. His journey began at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where he trained to become an Officer. However, Ollie’s life took a dramatic turn when a motorbike accident left him with a spinal cord injury, changing his trajectory overnight. Instead of allowing this trauma to define him, he chose to rebuild his life from the ground up - physically, mentally and professionally - transforming unimaginable adversity into a purpose-driven mission to unlock human potential and drive inclusive change.
Following a long and intense period of rehabilitation, Ollie found strength through sport, becoming an international adaptive ski racer with the Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team. It was through racing that he rediscovered identity, confidence and possibility. But Ollie’s drive extended far beyond personal recovery. He transitioned into the charity and corporate sectors, using his experience to support others navigating their own challenges. In business, he has held senior leadership positions, including Senior Manager, DE&I Client Solutions at PageGroup, where he founded a global disability Employee Resource Group, and Head of Partnerships & Client Solutions at Moving Ahead, helping companies embed inclusive leadership practices.
Today, Ollie serves as the Lead Facilitator of Generation Valuable, a groundbreaking global leadership programme delivered in partnership with The Valuable 500. The initiative empowers disabled employees while educating senior executives at leading organisations such as Coca-Cola, EY, P&G and Formula E. Ollie also acts as a trusted advisor to businesses, helping shape disability strategies, develop inclusive cultures, and build resilient, high-performing teams. His experience is global - working in boardrooms, refugee settlements, hospitals and homes, all united by a single mission: to create a world where everyone, regardless of background or ability, has the opportunity to thrive.
Ollie’s keynotes are a captivating mix of raw storytelling, professional insight and practical takeaways. He’s spoken to companies including Adobe, Channel 4, AXA Insurance and Jaguar Land Rover, leaving audiences not just inspired but equipped to lead with empathy and courage. What sets Ollie apart is not just his story, but the way he connects on a human level - transforming challenge into opportunity and empowering others to do the same.
