Expert adviser, minister, shadow minister, and negotiator, Chris Huhne was the former Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Eastleigh from 2005 to 2013 and was also the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change from 2010 to 2012. As a result of his political work, Chris is now a renowned expert in energy and climate change, as well as being an award-winning writer and public speaker.
Experience in both print and broadcast media, Chris has contributed to The Guardian, Prospect Magazine and the journal of the Institute of Public Policy Research as well as broadcast commentaries on energy and climate change issues and features on BBC News at Ten, BBC Newsnight, BBC Radio 4 Today programme, Sky News, ITN News at Ten, Channel Four News, and LBC’s Iain Dale Show He also writes a weekly column for The Economist, The Guardian and Independent, which he has done for more than a decade.
A well known and highly regarded individual, Chris has been appointed a number of awards that include being appointed Fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford University in 2008, Council member of the Royal Economic Society in 1993 and Council member of the Consumers’ Association in 2002.
