Andy had a glittering professional football career scoring 433 goals playing for took in Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton amongst others, and led to two League Cups, an FA Cup, a European Cup Winners’ Cup, a Scottish Premier League and, last but not least, an English Championship title.
After retiring as a player, Andy became a football commentator and pundit and analyst on Sky Sports, serving as a highly recognisable facet of its Premier League coverage since its inception in 1992, most notably alongside studio anchor Richard Keys. In addition, he reported for Sky from the 2004 European Football tournament in Portugal and commentated for BBC Radio 5 Live in the 2002 World Cup Football Tournament and for ESPN in Euro 2008, as well as providing betting tips for Betfair and commentary for EA Sports flagship video game series FIFA.
Andy currently presents a Friday evening show on talkSPORT, in addition to regular television punditry on beIN Sports in Qatar, both alongside Richard Keys.
