Chris Hines MBE

Chris Hines is an excellent motivational speaker who grabs and holds the attention of audiences when he shares his wisdom and expertise on communications, sustainability, lobbying government bodies, motivation, leadership and environmental issues.

Previously sustainability director of The Eden Project, Hines was also a founding member of the SAS – not the elite corps but Surfers Against Sewage. He has advised environment ministers and given evidence to the European Parliament, the European Commission, and various select committees. As a result, £5bn has been spent on improving Britain’s coastline.

A former co-presenter of the TV programme What On Earth, motivational speaker Hines is regularly called on by the BBC, CNN and other networks to provide expert commentary and insight regarding environmental issues. He has also been described by The Daily Telegraph newspaper as an “eco hero”.

Getting his MBE for services to the environment, Chris is a member of The Environment Agency’s regional environmental protection advisory committee, a panel member at Cornwall’s Sustainable Energy Partnership and a member of Sustainability South West.
