Chadden Hunter is a renowned filmmaker and wildlife biologist who has worked on some of the best wildlife shows and documentaries of our time. Passionate about sharing his love for the natural world with people through film and television, Chadden is the Founder and Director of Chadden Hunter Films. An alumnus of the University of Queensland where he obtained a BSc in Zoology and Animal Biology, Chadden completed his PhD in Biology and Behavioural Ecology from the University of Liverpool. Taking a particular interest in wildlife and the natural world, Chadden decided to work in a field where he could always pursue his passions. Through his roles at the Discovery Channel and National Geographic, he was able to witness and film tribal ceremonies in Africa, and snow leopards in Asia. Chadden’s first foray into the world of documentaries, which are now considered his forte, was with the show The Life of The Mammals.
For the great David Attenborough to notice his skill set, it is clear that Chadden’s work was top-notch. Very early on in his career, Chadden worked on BBC One’s Planet Earth – an epic documentary series that is an ode to the magnificence of the natural world. Chadden has also worked on Frozen Planet, Planet Earth 2, Seven Worlds - One Planet, and has been the Principal Director of BBC’s Wild Arabia. He was the Co-Series Producer of National Geographic’s Cliffhangers as well. The shows he has worked on have collectively won a total of 12 Emmys and 8 BAFTA awards – an incredible achievement. In 2021, Chadden became the Executive Producer at WildBear Entertainment.
Now Chadden is spending his life doing what he loves most - sharing his passion for our world through film and TV.
