Paulette Frank firmly believes that healthy people need to live on a healthy planet. Currently serving as the Chief Sustainability Officer at Johnson & Johnson, Paulette has had a long and impressive career working to advance Johnson & Johnson’s environmental health and sustainability strategy. Passionate about educating people about sustainability, healthcare, and actions that can help protect the climate and our environment, Paulette is available to speak at a range of events as a keynote speaker.
Paulette’s career is built on a solid academic foundation, having completed her B.S. in Biology from Duke University and Master’s in Environmental Management and Environmental Studies from the Yale School of the Environment, she first joined Johnson and Johnson in 1997 working in the company’s Environment, Health and Safety teams. In 2009, she became the Vice President of Consumer Sustainability, where she founded the Office of Sustainability and was responsible for conducting activities promoting sustainability. In 2015, she took on the esteemed position of Worldwide Vice President of Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainability, where she provided thought leadership and strategic direction to advance Johnson & Johnson’s sustainability and environmental safety mission.
Now the company’s Chief Sustainability Officer, Paulette develops environmental, sustainability, and human rights strategies for the healthcare company, ensuring that they are progressing towards a sustainable, resilient, and equitable future. Today, she also serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Yale Centre of Business and Environment, having previously been served as their co-chair. Also the Co-Chair of Johnson & Johnson’s Enterprise Government Council and Supply Chain Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, Paulette was selected as one of Entrepreneur Magazine's 100 Women of Impact.
In recognition of her phenomenal work in the field of sustainability, Paulette was named one of the Top 100 Women in Sustainability in 2022 by Sustainability Magazine. Recently reaching the massive milestone of 100% renewable electricity for Johnson & Johnson’s operations in Europe, there are few people as experienced as Paulette in the field of sustainability.
