In 2019, Richard won his second Guinness World Record, beating his previous record, for fastest speed in a body-controlled jet suit, reaching speeds of 85.06mph. His book, 'Taking on Gravity: A Guide to Inventing the Impossible from the Man Who Learned to Fly', is thought-provoking and awe-inspiring, highlighting his struggles and successes in the world of ground-breaking technological developments. Richard is a gifted athlete, running ultramarathons, and is also a former Royal Marines Reservist.
