After graduating with a degree in Computer Science, Robert began his career as a consultant for Tertio, working in software development of telecommunication systems. He later went on to become a Network Management Consultant for Riversoft, before beginning his security career as a Security Consultant for UBS. Working with UBS for four years, Robert was responsible for conducting risk assessments and analysing security in the Security Risk Control function of the bank.
Robert later worked in Cybersecurity for the UK Ministry of Defence, working as the senior manager of the cyber incident response mechanisms team for the UK Government. During his time here, Robert also played an instrumental part in the planning of the London 2012 Olympic Games, devising strategies in preparation for cyber threats. Robert has also been the Deputy Head of the UK’s Cyber Security Operations Centre and the Director of Cyber Capacity Unit. In 2012, Robert founded The Cyber Security Expert, providing everything from security monitoring to cybersecurity, and he is currently the Chief Information Security Officer for Cazoo.
