Kay Firth-Butterfield is renowned as the former Head of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for the World Economic Forum and the current CEO of the Good Tech Advisory. Kay turned to the academic world and is a Distinguished Scholar of the Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law today. Also, Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas Law School today, she has held the same position at St. Mary’s University School of Law previously. Working in all of these positions has given her the experience she needed to be an expert in the field of education, governance and AI. Apart from AI and education, Kay also serves as North American Ambassador of the Consortium for Street Children and as a Liveryman of the City of London of the Worshipful Company of Loriners. In 2023, Kay was appointed as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Texas, yet another testament to her prowess.
Kay has co-founded AI Global and is the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Global Initiative for Ethical Considerations in Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems.
