Chris was a hugely successful boxer between 1985 and 1998, and was voted by BoxRec as the Third Best British Super-Middleweight Boxer Of All Time. He would record 45 wins, 5 losses and 2 draws in hi 52 professional fights. Battling in the middleweight, super-middleweight and cruiserweight categories, Eubank earned the nicknames, "simply the best"
A brave and courageous fighter, Eubank was often said to have a ‘granite’ chin due to his remarkable ability to dust off powerful punches. In a time, during the 1990s when British boxing was extremely popular, Eubank was arguably its biggest star. Not only due to his uniquely brick wall boxing style, but also due to the eccentricities of his personality, Eubank became a favourite within the media.
He was 16 years old when his father sent him to live with his mother in the South Bronx neighbourhood in New York, having been expelled 18 times from school in Peckham. He soon grew an obsession with boxing and would spend most of his time training in the gym and as a boxer. He would win his first tournament; the 1984 Spanish Golden Gloves Tournament at the age of 18. He went professional the very next year.
In 2015, in reference to a joke from I’m Alan Partridge, in which character Alan Partridge would suggest a selection of ideas for television shows, one of which was, Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank. Hostelworld would capitalise on this, bringing the idea to fruition with a spoof trailer.

A role model for people all over the world, having overcome adversity, Eubank is an ambassador for gambling charity, Gamcare, an organisation offering support and advice to anyone affected by problem gambling in the UK.
Since hanging up his gloves he has become a popular media personality, fronting Esquire magazine in 1992, in advertisements for Versace, Vivienne Westwood, Nescafé, Royal Mail, McDonald's, Jaffa Cakes and Orbit. He has guest presented on Talk Radio and Top of the Pops as well as appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2001 and 2015 respectively.
