Rebecca Taylor is a leading cybersecurity expert, threat intelligence knowledge manager and motivational speaker known for translating complex cyber risks into clear, human-centred insight. A TEDx speaker and author, she has become a respected voice on digital safety, organisational resilience and inclusion within the cybersecurity industry. Her work has earned national recognition, including being named Computing’s Cybersecurity Professional of the Year in 2025 and winning Security Woman of the Year at the Computing Security Excellence Awards.
Rebecca began her career in sales, marketing and account management before joining Secureworks in 2014. What started as an operational role quickly became a defining turning point, as she discovered a deep passion for cybersecurity. Drawing on her background in communication and storytelling, she steadily progressed through programme management, analysis and incident command knowledge roles, developing a rare ability to bridge technical teams, leadership and frontline response during high-pressure cyber incidents.
In 2022, Rebecca moved into her first Threat Intelligence Knowledge Manager role at Secureworks, where she helped shape how intelligence is captured, shared and operationalised across global security teams. In 2025, she joined Sophos as a Threat Intelligence Knowledge Manager and Researcher, continuing her work at the forefront of cyber threat analysis and intelligence-led defence. Alongside her professional career, she is a tireless advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, having mentored more than 150 women and been recognised as a TechWomen 100 winner and part of the Tech Women Celebration 50.
