Zaheer Ahmad is an industry expert on diversity and inclusion, with prior experience as a Police Officer, working in departments like Uniform Policing, Force Intelligence Bureau, and Murder Investigation. He has been a member of five National Police boards such as the National Equality, Diversity, and Human Rights Board. Currently Associate Non-Executive Director of Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Associate Non-Executive Director at Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Zaheer is available to book as a speaker.
Today, Zaheer is a Member of the Advisory Committee for Race Equity at the Chartered Management Institute. Over the course of his career, Zaheer has held several key roles in multinational corporations. He was the Head of Strategic Delivery, Diversity and Inclusiveness at Ernst & Young, Global Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at GSK, and Global Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Haleon.
Advisory Board Member for the British Academy of Management, Megaport and Advisory Board Member of Inclusion and Diversity for World 50 Inc., Zaheer is also an independent panel member for Premier League’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standards board. He has gathered several accolades for his work in the field of diversity and inclusion, including the Global Equality and Diversity Award and the European Diversity “Hero of the Year” Award. Named top 20 industry professionals in the Global Diversity List, he was awarded with an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Bradford.
Board Member of the City & Guilds Industry Skills Board, Zaheer was honoured with an MBE title in 2010 for his services in the police department. He is also an advisor to a task force that is backed by the UK government that caters to improving the socio-economic diversity in financial and professional services and is a Race and Social Justice School Governor.
