Jo Hurley is a Registered Nutritional Therapist, reproductive health specialist and speaker who translates emerging science into accessible conversations about fertility, nutrition and reproductive wellbeing. With particular expertise in the rapidly developing field of the reproductive microbiome, Jo explores female and male fertility through a broader lens, considering the vaginal, uterine and seminal microbiomes alongside inflammation, gut health, nutrition and lifestyle. Through her speaking and educational work, she challenges narrow approaches to fertility and women's health, helping audiences understand how interconnected factors can influence reproductive wellbeing, energy and performance.
Before specialising in nutrition and reproductive health, Jo spent more than a decade working in senior programme, project and operational roles across advertising, media and communications. Her early career included positions with News International, Rocket Post, Lionsgate, TalkBackThames, BBC Television and Paramount Pictures. She subsequently moved into commercial projects and advertising, becoming Innovation Manager and later Programme Director at Carat. Jo continued progressing through senior positions as Project Director at WPP, Digital Programme Director at Ogilvy and Project Director at Dentsu Creative. This extensive corporate experience gives her a distinctive understanding of workplace pressures and how health, energy and wellbeing can affect professional performance.
In 2022, Jo established Jo Hurley Health and began working as a Clinical Nutritionist, marking a shift towards a career centred on nutrition and reproductive wellbeing. She later became Nutrition and Education Advisor at ScreenMe, a reproductive microbiome testing company, where she works with women, men and couples navigating fertility challenges and reproductive health concerns. Jo is also further developing her academic expertise through postgraduate study in reproductive science and women's health at University College London, strengthening her ability to connect emerging scientific research with practical health education.
Alongside her clinical and advisory work, Jo brings reproductive health education to a wider public audience through FeedYourFanny, using engaging content to make subjects that can feel complex or uncomfortable easier to understand and discuss. As an experienced speaker, she covers women's health, menopause, fertility, nutrition, energy and performance, combining scientific developments with practical and relatable perspectives. Her background spanning both corporate environments and reproductive health enables Jo to speak particularly effectively about how these issues affect people inside and outside the workplace. By challenging assumptions and opening conversations around overlooked areas of health, Jo equips audiences with greater understanding of their bodies and reproductive wellbeing.
