Beginning his career as a Police Officer in the Nottinghamshire Police, Paul manned the streets as an officer for eight years before his first major corporate role in the 1990s. In 1990, Paul joined as the Head of Succession and Career Management at National Grid, a role in which he was responsible for changing the culture of the organisation, enhancing team capability and developing fast-track individuals throughout the business. He later went on to become the Head of HR at United Utilities, leading effective training and development strategies throughout the organisation.
Paul has also worked as the Director of Change Management for Bentley Motors, amongst roles as General Manager of HR and Investor Relations Director. In his role as Director of Change Management, Paul was responsible for effective leadership development practises across the organisation, and enabled an upshift in production from 1000 to 10,000 per year. After success in HR and change management, Paul took on the challenge of consultancy work as the MD of Vmax Consulting.
