Andrew Schwartz is an expert on the metaverse, business and digital strategies, marketing, and artificial intelligence. He is currently the Director of Metaverse Engineering at the athletic apparel giant, Nike. He is responsible for leading the development of concepts and production of metaverse software using various digital technologies including spatial web and web3. When hired as a speaker, Andrew is able to cover a wide variety of topics such as the metaverse, NFTs, digital fashion, strategy and artificial intelligence.
Having originally studied BA English at Rollins College, it was clear Andrew would not follow the arts route throughout his career. In 1995 he founded, and became the Creative Director and President of The Idea Company, a web design company which then merged with Strata-G Communications to become a digital innovation consultancy. He later became the Executive Producer for Cincinnati Today where, alongside multiple roles in development, publication and advertising, he developed a network of forty affiliates and one main publication site. In 2005, after having several senior roles in marketing and strategy, Andrew co-founded AdSymetrix Inc.
Other prominent roles held by Andrew include being the Director of Brand Strategy for Interbrand, Senior Account Director and Product Marketing Director for SapientNitro, Lab Lead for CVS Health and Head of Content Innovation for Leia Inc. where he was responsible for the market content creation strategy for a new innovative mobile technology startup. In 2017 Andrew then became the Senior Digital Product Lead for Blue Cross Blue Shield where he created, designed and developed multiple products within their digital portfolio. With quite the resumé to his name, he was hired as the Director of Innovation Engineering for Nike before later becoming their Director of Metaverse Engineering, helping the company be at the forefront of the creation and design for products in the digital fashion sphere.
