Naga first joined the world of journalism at the Evening Standard, producing the City Pages of the London edition. Soon developing a keen passion for the field, Naga then moved on to contribute to the pages of The Observer, in particular on their business section. After working on such publications, Naga decided to diversify her career and move into television reporting joining Reuters Financial Television. Immediately finding talent for being on the big screens, Naga then went on to work as a senior producer for CNBC Europe, a presenter on Bloomberg Television and a reporter for Channel 4 News.
As of 2008, Naga began working for the BBC initially presenting on the programme Working Lunch. Since her appointment at the BBC, Naga has become a well-known and loved presenter. She is now seen as the frequent presenter of BBC Breakfast, and has previously presented on BBC World News, Newsnight and Sunday Morning Live. Other presenting credits include Money Box for Radio 4, Paranormal Investigation: Live, Britain’s Classroom Heroes and the narration of Fear and Faith. Naga has also made a cameo on Class Dismissed, competed in Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Mastermind which she was crowned the winner of.
Outside her commitments to the BBC, Naga is a keen sportswoman with golf being one of her most prominent passions. She has completed various sporting feats, such as the 100-mile Prudential Ride London, Women V Cancer Ride The Night 100KM Cycling Ride and the 2013 London Marathon. She is also a strong supporter of various charities, helping with the likes of women’s rights, animal welfare, education and mental health. Her commitment to journalism has always been highly rewarded, receiving recognition in the Asian Power List credited as one of the UK’s Most Powerful Asian Females and later claiming the Media Personality of the Year Award at the 2018 Asian Media Awards.
