Dr Julia Jones is an internationally recognised neuroscientist, entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker, who has dedicated over thirty years to studying and applying neuroscience, physiology and psychology to transform lives. What makes Julia truly exceptional is her rare ability to simplify complex scientific research into practical, actionable habit changes that anyone can apply to improve their health, wellbeing, and performance. With a passion rooted in personal experience, Julia’s mission was shaped early on after losing her father to preventable lifestyle diseases – a tragedy that drives her commitment to helping others avoid similar fates.
Throughout her distinguished career, Julia has worked with a remarkable range of clients, from GB Olympic Teams as a psychologist, to corporate leaders at Goldman Sachs, NHS patients, award-winning musicians, elite sports teams, and government organisations. She has founded several successful ventures, including Holidity, a cutting-edge health-tech company delivering the Habit Reset programme, and previously Found In Music, an experiential agency she led for almost two decades before selling it in 2022. Julia’s groundbreaking work has earned widespread media coverage, including features on BBC TV, Sky News, BBC Radio, The Times and The Sunday Express, further establishing her as a trusted voice in wellness and biohacking science.
Julia’s academic background is equally impressive, holding degrees and certifications from some of the world’s leading institutions. She earned her PhD in Human Behaviour (Music Neuroscience) from the University of Westminster, alongside an MBA from the University of Kent, and earlier completed her MSc in Sport & Exercise Sciences at Brunel University. In addition, she has undertaken advanced studies at Harvard Medical School, Stanford University, Cambridge University, Oxford University, and King’s College London, deepening her expertise in neuroscience, nutrition, genetics and mental health. Julia’s unique combination of scientific knowledge and real-world application allows her to deliver highly engaging talks that inspire genuine behavioural change.
Known affectionately as ‘Dr Rock’, Julia incorporates her lifelong love of music into her work, leveraging the profound effects of sound on the brain to help audiences optimise mental resilience, focus and wellbeing. She performs regularly as lead guitarist in her all-female rock band Pretty Crap, even taking the stage at London’s legendary Troubadour venue. Today, Julia’s talks are dynamic, highly interactive and deeply informative, offering science-backed strategies that empower individuals and organisations to embed sustainable habits, improve longevity and dramatically enhance performance. Her personal mission remains clear: to help create 1 million extra healthy years of life through smart, accessible, evidence-based lifestyle changes.
