In 1990 she set up the Birmingham Trichology Centre, where she remains today, and the practice continues to be one of the leading centres of its field in the UK. After losing a significant amount of her vision in 2012, Carol overcame the adversity of her disability to lead a fulfilled life and maintain her position as an expert in her field.
An ideal motivational speaker for any event in need of an inspirational character to lecture on achieving success no matter the odds, Carol will engage with guests and ensure they all fell part of her story. After attracting the attention of UK courts to give evidence on a number of cases where her knowledge of trichology was vital, Carol soon became a well-known figure in her field.
She appeared on the world-famous Oprah Winfrey Show in 1994, going on to give advice on the damage caused to hair thanks to chemicals used in hair salons. Carol has also given presentations to institutions such as the Women’s Institute, St John Ambulance and Mothers Union, and has appeared on a host of television shows including Embarrassing Bodies, Richard & Judy, and GMTV. Carol has large experience of talking as a motivational speaker in front of a diverse array of audiences, with clients guaranteed to be moved and inspired by her story.
