Dan Harris is a passionate neurodiversity advocate and founder of Neurodiversity in Business. Inspired by his own experiences as an autistic person with ADHD, along with those of his son, a non-verbal autistic boy, Dan is driven to support neurodivergent professionals. Equipped with MSc degrees from the London School of Economics and Royal Holloway, University of London Dan began his professional journey at Deloitte. Part of the risk advisory team, Dan is a director leading a team of twenty-three people. Dan’s career experience has laid the groundwork for his commitment to excellence in every aspect of his work, nurturing the professional acumen that he brings to his talks today.
In 2021, Dan founded Neurodiversity in Business, a global charity dedicated to supporting neurodivergent professionals and promoting inclusive workplaces. Under his leadership as Chief Executive Officer, the charity has secured the support of global giants such as Amazon, McDonald’s, Virgin, and Lloyds, all pledging to adopt neuroinclusive practices. His visionary initiative has empowered individuals to pursue fulfilling careers while enabling businesses to harness their unique talents. Additionally, he has volunteered as a Legal Supporter for Disabled Children’s Families and launched The Joshie-Man Award, names after his son, to honour organisations that empower non-speaking individuals, further demonstrating his commitment to transformative social change.
