Achieving his MBA with Emphasis in Organisational Psychology from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, Greg became a Leadership Consultant for Heidrick and Struggles, where he provided assessments of senior leaders across areas like Silicon Valley. In 2008, he was a partner with The Wiseman Group, collaborating in the research and writing of the bestselling book, ‘Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter’. In 2012, Greg served as a Young Global Leader with the World Economic Forum, underscoring his commitment to shaping the global future. During this time, he went on to achieve his certification in Global Leadership and Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and founded The Essentialism Academy, offering online classes to further people’s knowledge in effective leadership. He is currently working towards his doctorate in Interpersonal Communication at the University of Cambridge. Greg has served in a range of influential positions, including as a Board Member for the Washington DC policy group, Resolve, as well as a mentor for 2 Seeds, a non-profit dedicated to agriculture projects in Africa. His non-profit work has seen him speak at a multitude of groups, from The Kauffman Fellows, Net Impact, and Stanford University.
Greg published ‘Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less’ in 2014 to great acclaim. He championed the idea of doing less to, in fact, do more, drawing on his first-hand experiences of working with top-of-the-line leaders. In 2021, he published ‘Effortless: Make It Easier to Do What Matters Most’, an empowering guide to reaching your goals with the notion that not everything has to be difficult to achieve. The books have collectively sold over 3 million copies worldwide and have been translated into more than 45 languages, a testament to Greg's invaluable knowledge. His work has also been featured in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Time Magazine, Fast Company, Fortune, Politico, and the Harvard Business Review.
