Born in Chile, Seb began his career in the Royal Navy as a helicopter pilot, later serving in both the Spanish and Chilean navies. This formative chapter of his life taught him leadership, teamwork, and discipline at a level few experience. During his sixteen years of military service, Seb developed a deep understanding of what it means to lead in high-risk, fast-changing environments. Seeking new challenges, he transitioned into aerospace logistics with UTi Worldwide before joining SONACA as A400M Programme Manager. His next move took him to Airbus, where he further honed his expertise in large-scale programme management and operational excellence. Seb’s move into Formula One marked a significant evolution in his career. He first entered the sport as Programme Manager of Special Projects with Altran for the Lotus F1 Team, where his ability to integrate complex systems and people quickly stood out. After officially joining Altran as a Key Account Manager, Seb progressed to Head of Transformation, Organisation and Integration for Northern Europe. Since 2019, he has served as Engineering Manager at Alpine Formula One, leading more than 150 engineers to deliver cutting-edge designs under tight deadlines.
Alongside his professional achievements, Seb has shared his expertise at global forums, including the 10th and 11th Merger Integration Management Forum at Thought Leader Global. He is also a visiting lecturer at the Universities of Melbourne, Edinburgh, and Oxford, a mentor for the African Leadership Academy, and a speaker for Young Lives vs Cancer.
