With a long-standing career with his home team the Leicester Tigers, Richards has gone on to play for his nation, coach future players and now gives entertaining after dinner talks as a rugby speaker. Prior to playing rugby professionally Richards spent several years working for the Leicestershire Constabulary Police and began his professional rugby career playing for Roanne in France.
Thanks to his success as a sportsman and rugby speaker, Richards has become a well-known face both on and off the rugby field; he made a name for himself playing for the British Lions team at no less than five World Cups and became the most capped England player after appearing in the 1989 and 1993 competitions where he won 48 England caps and was capped 6 times for the Lions team.
Much of Richard’s talks as a after dinner speaker are indicative of his history as a rugby player; he is a strong and inspiring rugby speaker with particular expertise in sports leadership and teamwork; Richard’s refusal to baulk at the most intense of situations and progressive playing techniques make him an engaging after dinner speaker.
