He went onto become the Vice President of one of Kinnevik’s largest holdings, Tele2, where he lead the development of their mobile telephony, Comviq and featured in a few of the television advertising campaigns as the face of the brand.
As the managing director of Tele2 AB, he became responsible for activity in over nine countries with 14 million customers. He eventually left to join SAAB Automobile where he overlooked Scandinavian, Baltin and Russian markets. Later on his career, Lars rejoined the Kinnevik Group as the Executive Vice President. From 1999 to 2008, Lars was the CEO and President of Tele2 AB and has gone onto hold an abundance of senior roles including becoming the director of INGKA Holding BV (IKEA’s parent company); Apoteket AB and Arvid Nordquist Handelsaktiebolag. He is also a board member for SAS AB, Egmont International Holding A/S, Elite Hotels, Seamless and the chairman of BRIS, the Swedish children’s rights organisation.
