Mergim Butaja was a refugee born in Kosovo who left the country when he was just seven years old and many years later found himself on the popular BBC TV programme The Apprentice, staying there for six weeks. Oozing confidence and charm, Mergim is now an in-demand business management speaker.
Described in the media as “lovable”, Mergim Butaja is currently Managing Director of International Business Acquisitions, which helps small- to medium-sized business owners achieve the best possible results when they sell their companies.
As a business management speaker, Mergim is able to inspire and motivate others to make some of the most critical decisions of their lives, especially when relating to capital investments. He is also extremely knowledgeable about franchising, acquisitions and expansions.
Lord Alan Sugar said of Mergim: “He was a refugee, he came to this country a long time ago and I believe as a young man he had to take over his family and his siblings. I believe he had five or six jobs at any one time. It’s an amazing thing what he’s done.”
