Tej Lalvani has established an esteemed reputation in the world of business. Setting out on the path to success, Tej attended the Westminster Business School graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business. Upon his graduation Tej joined the family company, working in his father’s Vitabiotics warehouse. Working his way through the ranks, Tej ultimately became the CEO of Vitabiotics and has continued his fathers’ vision as the company has grown. For the past two decades, Tej has overseen the operations and has expanded Vitabiotics into 100 countries. The company is immensely successful in today’s market, producing the well-loved and used Pregnacare, Perfectil and Wellwoman vitamins turning an impressive £300 million.
During his time at Vitabiotics, Tej has become experienced in all elements of the business. From product design and branding to advertising and management, there is little that Tej cannot cover. Today, Tej is majorly in control of the marketing for the business recently dedicating his time to growing the digital channels of the company. Tej is passionate to see his father’s company become the largest supplier of specialist vitamins, and so works tirelessly to create large scale digital strategies to leverage globalisation.
His prowess as a businessman has led Tej to appear on the BBC programme Dragons' Den. Featuring as an investor ‘Dragon’, Tej has helped countless budding entrepreneurs to begin their businesses and secure the vital funding they need to succeed. In addition to his work with Vitabiotics and Dragons' Den, Tej is also an avid supporter of health and educational campaigns such as premature and sick baby charity Bliss and Wellbeing of Women. Tej also currently dedicates his time to running a property investment company in partnership with his wife.
A testament to his passion and commitment to the business, Tej has been the recipient of numerous awards both individually and in partner with Vitabiotics. He has claimed both the Queen’s Award for Innovation and Boots’ Supplier of the Year with Vitabiotics. Individually, he has claimed ranking on the GG2 Power List of the Most Influential Asian People in Britain and The India-UK Power List 2017. He has also claimed the 2012 Asian Business Award’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year and TiE UK Awards 2013 Young Entrepreneur of the Year award once more.
