Adviser to many of the world’s top financial institutions – including the World Bank, the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Christian de Boissieu is currently the Professor of Monetary and Financial Economics at the University of Paris where he gained his PhD in economics in 1973.
Honorary President of the French Finance Association, member of the French SEC (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) and a Fellow of the Academy of Technology and of the Royal Academy of Belgium, as a motivational speaker, Christian teaches at the College of Europe in Bruges.
Up until 2012, Christian de Boissieu chaired the French Council of Economic Analysis (Conseil d’Analyse Economique) which gives advice on economic and social issues to the government. He has also been a post-doctoral fellow at America’s Harvard and Northwestern Universities and been on the board of governors of the US Federal Reserve System – the central banking system of the United States.
Corporate business and finance speaker Christian, was a member of the advisory board of J.P. Morgan (France) and member of the Advisory Board of Ernst & Young (France). He is a regular contributor to the financial pages of national newspapers around the world and has had published over 30 books on banking, finance and the economy.
Finally, he is Commander of the Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur (National Order of the Legion of Honour), which was set up by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802.
