Dan Lohrmann, the Field Chief Information Security Officer for Presidio, is known for his expertise in matters related to cyber security, technology modernisation, business transformation amongst others. Dan received his MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University and started working at the National Security Agency in 1985. Since then, he has held several eminent positions in organisations like Lockheed Martin, ManTech, etc. Dan’s career progressed drastically during his time at the State of Michigan, where he took charge of the cybersecurity and infrastructure team, through his roles as Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Technology Officer & Deputy Director of Infrastructure Services, and Chief Security Officer at the State of Michigan. After 17 years at State of Michigan, Dan moved onto the role of Chief Strategist & Chief Security Officer at Security Mentor Inc. where he provided thought leadership on cybersecurity and online privacy trends. He also won the 2017 Cybersecurity Breakthrough Global Award for ‘CISO of the Year’ during this time.
Currently a Senior Fellow at The Centre for Digital Development, he is also a Member of Board of Advisors at Teenspire Global Mission – an organisation that aims to instil positive development for the youth. Dan’s expertise and knowledge is highly revered, and he has been an advisor to people at the White House, National Governors Association, US Department of Homeland Security, Fortune 500 Companies, and non-profit organisations alike. He has also been invited to feature on a panel for C-Span for Automotive Cybersecurity and Hacking previously and frequently writes about security predictions.
