Valerie studied Law and Environmental Economics from the University of California Berkley and then joined as an Attorney for Business and Technology and then as an Investment Banker for SG Cowen and Company. She has also been the VP of Business Development for PixelWorks Networks. Leaving the world of securities law and investment banking and immersing herself into the world of entertainment, Valerie worked as a screenwriter, director and producer of more than 50 advertisements, short films and public service announcements.
She created Ballpark Bullies and worked on commercials like Say I Do, The Wedding Matters and Life Support. An entrepreneur too, Valerie was the founder and CEO of Goalkeeper, a platform that provided users with AI and conversational user interface to better the quality of their relationships. Valerie also serves as a Visiting Professor on the Representation of Law in Film at U.C Berkley School of Law thus is seasoned at effectively putting her experience in a medium that helps people learn something new.
