Levi Roots, otherwise known as Keith Graham, is a budding entrepreneur who is famed for his tasty range of sauces, seasonings and snacks. Having found fame and funding for his business as part of Dragons’ Den, Levi is now a highly successful businessman with his products stocked on the shelves of supermarkets across the country. Outside of working with his brand, Levi is regularly invited to speak at public events, exploring his success story.
Celebrity chef Levi is best known for creating Reggae Reggae Sauce, an iconic table sauce incorporating the flavours of Jamaican jerk spice. Inspired to take his product and vision to the next level, Levi is also famed for appearing as a contestant on Dragons’ Den. During his time on Dragons’ Den, Levi is fondly remembered for the most memorable sales pitch after he sang to the investors about his homemade sauces. Having secured investment from Dragons Richard Farleigh and Peter Jones, Levi was able to propel his sauce into the nationally famous brand it is today.
From a young age, Levi enjoyed cooking in his home kitchen in Clarendon Jamaica. Learning the tricks of the trade from his grandmother, Levi began to cook with the herbs and spices that would make him famous today. Levi is also well known as a reggae musician, which he incorporated in his pitch on Dragons’ Den. His love for music found Levi attending the Notting Hill Carnival, where he established the Rasta’raunt and sold his iconic sauces. Back in 2006, Levi attended the World Food Market when his talents were scouted by a BBC researcher and he was invited to appear on Dragons’ Den.
Today, Levi is sitting at the helm of an immensely successful brand all made possible by his determination to succeed. Levi has since been able to expand his range of products, and he has also released books Reggae Reggae Cookbook, You Can Get It If You Really Want, Caribbean Food Made Easy, Food For Friends, Grill It With Levi, Sweet and Spice It Up. He has also been fortunate to host his own cookery show, Caribbean Food Made Easy, and launched his own restaurants Papine Jerk Centre and the Caribbean Smokehouse.
Levi is a passionate businessman, and continues with his mission to spread ‘that if a black Brixtonian Rastafarian can make it with just a sauce, then you can make it too’. Today, Levi is frequently invited to perform as a public speaker, widely sought for his inspirational story of building a business from scratch. A role model and inspiration to many, Levi Roots is the perfect choice as a speaker for a range of business events.
