Levison has a keen passion for adventure, a quality that was established during his time spent as an officer in the British Parachute Regiment. Years spent in service saw him fighting in Afghanistan against the Taliban, encountering the terrain of Helmand, Zabul and Kandahar. Now Levison is seen acting as a reserve member of the 77X Brigade of the British Army, recently becoming part of the very first British troops to go to Japan.
His time in service has allowed Levison to build a strong mentality, driven by determination. He has embarked on a number of expeditions fueled by an adventurous spirit. In 2014 Levison took on the challenge of a nine-month expedition, walking the length of the Nile. The expedition was covered by Channel 4, becoming a critically acclaimed series as well as a Sunday Times bestselling book titled Walking the Nile. A year later Levison was inspired to push his boundaries further, completing a walk that was the length of the Himalayas. A journey which took him from the West of Afghanistan to the East of Bhutan, Levison was fortunate once again to have it documented in a series. Working his creative genius, Levison wrote Walking the Himalayas which was awarded Adventure Travel Book of the Year 2016 during the prestige Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards.
In 2017 another of his expeditions was documented by Channel 4, titled Walking the Americas and another of his journey along the Caucasus titled From Russia to Iran: Crossing Wild Frontiers. Levison’s most challenging and ambitious expedition saw him complete a 5000-mile circumnavigation of the Arabian Peninsula, travelling all the way from Iraq to Lebanon. Such adventures have allowed him to build a plethora of inspirational anecdotes, just waiting to be shared in motivational speeches of drive, determination and overcoming challenges.
Levison has forged a name as a reputable speaker, continually in high demand from audiences across the UK. Four almost sold-out tours across the UK have earned Levison the attention of many high-profile clients, with the likes of the BBC, Channel 4, The Telegraph, The Metro, Forbes and The Independent appearing on his speaking repertoire. During his career he has brushed shoulders with some of the biggest stars, having previously worked with George Clooney and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. A Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and The Explorers Club, Levison is a respected individual in his field.
