Formly a journalist for over 10 years, Rebecca was the deputy editor of The Financial Times. Since her famous expeditions, Rebecca returned to the media industry and has presented a range of TV shows such as the BBC’s science series Tomorrow’s World.
A highly successful individual, Rebecca has gone on to write numerous books, and has co-authored the acclaimed ‘The Seven Summits of Success’ with Robert Heller. Her fascinating books are often seen as a brilliant guide for all to benefit from, offering advice, encouragement and motivation for businesses and individuals alike.
Furthermore, Rebecca has taken part in a number of other mountaineering adventures, such as an expedition to the NorthEast Ridge of Mount Everest, she became the first British woman to complete the seven continental summits of the Messner list, and also climbed all seven continental summits of the Bass list.
Moreover, Rebecca also sailed the Southern Seas to the South Magnetic Pole and Antartica and crossed the South Atlantics island of South Georgia. As well as this, she also took on the mammoth challenge of an eight-day Eco-challenge along with polar explorers Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Mike Stroud.
In 1994, Rebecca was appointed MBE in the New Years Honours list, for her contribution to world exploration.
