Completing her medical training at St Thomas’s Hospital Medical School and Cambridge University, Dr Rosemary has since forged a successful career as a general practitioner in South London. Alongside her practise as a doctor, Dr Rosemary has also prolifically worked as a resident doctor on BBC Breakfast offering medical advice and expertise to the British general public. Dr Rosemary is also well known for her journalistic contributions, having written frequently for publications such as The Daily Express, the Tesco Healthy Living Magazine and the Sunday Express Magazine. She has also held the responsibility of medical editor for the Woman and Home Magazine and regularly pens columns for the publication.
Throughout her illustrious medical career, Dr Rosemary has helped the lives of countless individuals. As a resident doctor, she has made medical jargon sound less daunting, and clarify complex subjects to help people gain an understanding of the human body. In addition to BBC Breakfast, Dr Rosemary has also appeared as a resident doctor on The Wright Stuff and presented programmes such as Call the Doctor Why Me?, The Secret Guide to Women’s Health and Eastenders: Fighting Fit. She has also authored critically acclaimed books detailing various medical aspects from surgeries to the menopause, such as The Seven Ages of Woman.
Rosemary is still practising as a doctor alongside her broadcasting credits. She dedicates her knowledge to several boards and organisations outside of her duties. Such appointments include Non- Executive Director of Sports Coaching UK, a Non-Executive Director of the Health Protection Agency, a representative of the Committee on Safety of Medicines and a member of the Human Genetics Commission. In reward of her commitment to medicine, Rosemary was appointed MBE in 2004 and has also received the 2016 Health Columnist of the Year award.
