Among Ben’s major wins are the stage races of the 2010 Tour de Picardie and (on track) the 2007 European Under-23 Team Pursuit Championships and the scratch race at the 2012 World Championships– a win that made him Britain’s first ever world scratch champion.
With several medals to his name, Olympic speaker Swift began racing professionally in 2007 and he immediately won the Tour Of Britain’s King Of The Mountains Title, which is awarded to the best climber in a race. A year later and he won his first UCI race while cycling for the Great Britain cycling development team.
Since then, Ben has taken part in all the top cycling championships and done extremely well. Additional wins came in 2011 and 2014 and, although he broke his shoulder in a crash at one point, he has bounced back to compete again at the highest level of this incredibly demanding sport. More recently, Swift has developed a promising career as an Olympic speaker, where his stories and anecdotes never fail to entertain audiences of many kinds in all types of venues.
