Two years later he was part of the senior kayaking team that competed in the World Championships in the USA. Ed’s medals tally is impressive to say the least – at the 2012 Olympic Games the motivational speaker won a gold which added to the two 2010 golds that he won at the World Championships and the European Championships.
McKeever also won a silver medal at the 2010 World Championships which he supplemented with another at the same event a year later and then another silver at the 2014 European Championships in Brandenburg. His five bronze medals were won at the 2011 and 2012 European Championships, the 2014 World Championships and the 2015 European Games.
As well as his sporting achievements, Ed has a degree in accountancy and finance and is well on the way to becoming a qualified chartered accountant.
