Dan Lowes is a former RAF Fast Jet Pilot, Executive Officer of the Red Arrows and now a leading high-performance executive coach. His transition into commercial aviation and leadership coaching has positioned him as a trusted expert in helping organisations perform under pressure with clarity, confidence and accountability.
Dan began his aviation journey in 2004 when he joined the Royal Air Force as a Fighter Pilot and Commissioned Officer. Quickly recognised for his exceptional judgement, he earned the respect of instructors who described him as the pilot they would go to war with. His skill and composure led to his selection for the world-famous Red Arrows, where he flew as a Red Arrows Pilot and served as Executive Officer. During this period, he was also chosen to assess the flying tests for new Red Arrows candidates, reflecting his leadership capability and operational excellence.
After completing his RAF service in 2020, Dan moved into commercial aviation, beginning with the Gulfstream 650ER at TAG Aviation. He went on to fly the G650 for Flexjet, progressing to Senior First Officer, before joining major airlines in a senior first officer role. Alongside his flying career, he has become an accomplished executive coach who translates elite aviation principles into practical guidance for business leaders and teams. His focus on accountability, vulnerability and the art of effective debriefing helps organisations strengthen decision-making, reduce stress and improve performance in demanding environments.
As a speaker, Dan is known for his clarity, warmth and ability to turn high-stakes lessons into actionable strategies for any audience. He has delivered sessions for Barclays Regional Managers, Swansea City Youth Academy and the Premier League Head of Coach Development, demonstrating his wide appeal across corporate, sporting and leadership communities. His talks equip participants with tools to understand their cognitive limits, communicate with purpose and build teams that instinctively work at their best.
