She is a distinguished figure within the rugby world, she has written various articles for leading publications such as The Sunday Times, The Independent and Sports International Magazine as well as rugby specific publications. 12 years spent playing at a high-level experience has developed her into a veteran player. She’s obtained 63 caps for her country from 2004 to 2011.
She’s participated in two Rugby World Cup finals for her country, on both occasions they undesirably lost to New Zealand. She has scored a high number of 18 tries for England and has been presented with England Player of the Year award in 2006, also winning the 2011 Rugby Writers Club Special Award.
Prior to a sixth consecutive 2011 Six Nations Championship win, she decided to retire from international rugby. She has devoted her time assisting the Tag Rugby Trust, they coach the sport to underprivileged children countries that are developing worldwide. She has been doing this since 2007. In 2014 she launched a speaker mentoring agency named Inspiring Women using female speakers with an experience in sports or adventure.
She has also moved to the world of presenting being a regular commentator and studio pundit. She works with big names such as BBC and Sky Sports, she is a popular choice for after dinner speaking events.
