Known for giving one hundred per cent at all times and putting his body on the line for his teammates and country, there is not a more committed individual in the game than Lewis. Given the nickname 'Mad Dog', he was a skilled and enthusiastic player with a fiery temper who became a fan favourite for his willingness to chase down opponents and ability to compete for possession at restarts.
With a World Cup win, a second-place finish and two 6 Nations Championships under his belt for England, alongside two Heineken Cups and six Premierships with Leicester Tigers, he is a true rugby legend.
Retiring in 2011 Lewis has gone on to become a specialist sports speaker, touring the UK acting as both an anecdotal after-dinner speaker and motivational rugby speaker at corporate, private and charitable events.
A very approachable and likeable guy who is never shy of speaking his mind or telling a funny story, he is heavily involved in a number of charities, notably the Leicestershire-based children’s charity the Rainbow Trust as well as the national charities HOPEHIV and Our Ladies Children’s Hospital.
